Apple Park an architectural example of sustainability and cutting-edge technology
Apple Park is the new headquarters of technology company Apple Inc., located in Cupertino, California. This 175-acre complex was designed by architect Norman Foster and cost approximately $5 billion to build.
The main building, known as the spaceship due to its circular shape, is circular in shape and measures approximately 1.5 km in circumference. It is the largest spaceship-shaped building in the world. The building is surrounded by a green park of 9,000 trees and also includes a concert hall, a cinema hall, a fitness center, a café and a restaurant.
Apple Park is designed to be eco-friendly and sustainable, with an all-solar panel roof and efficient water and energy management systems. The building is also designed to foster employee collaboration and creativity, with open workspaces and open architecture.
The complex opened in April 2017 and has hosted more than 12,000 employees. However, the building has also been the subject of controversy, particularly due to its expensive construction and the loss of several trees in the construction process.
Despite these controversies, Apple Park remains an imposing architectural landmark and an example of sustainability and cutting-edge technology. The company also announced plans to create a walking and biking route around the complex and to host community events there.
As the new headquarters of one of the world's best-known companies, Apple Park is certainly a site to visit for technology and architecture enthusiasts.
